This is an exciting and challenging time for Local Government, as it seeks to deliver both ever-improving services and value for money. The role of Local Government in shaping the future of local communities in the 21st century will be more important than ever.
The Council’s Apprenticeship Programme offers 33 exciting employment opportunities in a number of different service areas across the Council including, Finance, Engineering, Administration, ICT and Support/Project work. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, gaining job-specific knowledge and skills. The programme gives you the opportunity to earn a wage whilst learning and working towards nationally recognised professional qualifications in your chosen career path.
The Graduate Programme offers 9 opportunities across the Council, in areas such as ICT, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Surveying and Projects. Working within a vibrant environment you will develop new and transferable skills, meet people from a range of backgrounds and work with senior officers on key pieces of work, all whilst working to develop a career in Local Government.
