Visible Celebrates Equal Marriage By Joining In Union With South Wales LGBT Groups

The Visible LGBT Community Voice Project from Merthyr Tydfil joined Abfabb, Bridgend’s LGBT Community Voice Project to Celebrate the 29th March 2014 as Wales and the UK welcomed in Equal Marriage.

It was a resounding success and brought all people of the community together, over a 100 people actively took part in the event. There were film crews , radio reporters and professional photographers all eagerly capturing the sights and sounds as well as streets lined with people waving smiling and taking photographs.  It seemed that some people were unaware of the reason for this show of triumphant joy, but they were able to ask questions and join us for wedding cake, a coffee and raffle at the Community Voice Drop-in Centre at The Zone Cafe.

Meanwhile, back in Merthyr Tydfil, The Visible project will be holding it’s next LGBT coffee morning on Wednesday 23rd April 2014 so if you would like to find out more or get involved in helping your community to grow, why not call Safer Merthyr Tydfil on 01685 353999.  We are keen to welcome you and get to know how we can create the type of change that brings forth a more inclusive and tolerent society that really values its diversity and heritage.
